this week was interesting as i seemed to do blue most of last week. didn't add a greeting to the card as i tend to add these when i use the card. i do see this as a birthday card though as there is a pressie on it

used for a birthday

eldest daughter had an op today and youngest daughter stood on something while crossing a field last night so off to london in the morning to look after eldest daughter. youngest daughter has moved in with us for a few days while her foot heals, she is on crutches at the mo with hubby looking after her.
so this means no crafting/blogging/challenges for me till i get back, after her last op i was away about 10 days

made a card last night with intentions to make more today (my day off) needless to say sitting in
a & e meant i have done no crafting

just joined, hope it will encourage me to use the blog more
my aim for this craft year is to work on and improve my rubber stamping. so the group seemed ideal
have bought many magnolia stamps over the past weeks as they are so cute, these are the stamps i am mainly using at the mo
i am not a chatter but i will post my work and visit my sisters blogs weekly, looking forward to it

swap card using my new cricut 'paper dolls' cartridge, cuttlebug background, nestabilaties for matting & layering then finished off with a ribbon

card for a swap used cuttlebug, nestabilities, vellum, tilda with a sprinkling of glamour dust to sparkle on the fur trim

played around with a new stamp for this one, the cupcake, added bugle & seed beads for the hundred & thousands & sugar strands
the background is full of 'happy birthday' so no sentiment is needed
edwin and the cupcakes say it all

i dont have many 'men' things in my stash, most of us struggle with men cards so it was a good challenge this one

used two new stamps which came this week for the challenge
i went for the 'wind' option as i sit like this when its cold & windy, wrapping myself up and trying to keep warm
used prisma pencils & sansador a bit of vellum background and a couple of 'jeweled' stars

this week was to add ribbon. used it across the paper to hide the join, stapled it to the matted greeting then finally to tilda's pigtails
this is a colour combination i would not think of using but really like the bit of paper i had in my stash

Topiary

project stamps from Dimension Fourth Ltd for this month are brill!!
topiary trees were ideal for the style of card i was making. kept the card simple with no greeting on as this can be added later when i use the card
i think it makes a suitable card for a man too

this little stamp arrived this morning with 3 other magnolia stamps
it is just perfect for this challenge. added some scraps of paper & ribbon atcs are great for using up odd little bits

must try harder at getting the scans a tad straighter lol

'add stitching' to the card and here was one already done in my stash box. used the cuttlebug swiss dots on the white background, other things were just from my craft stash

opted for a Paper Nation 3d sheet of a cute boy on car
kept the card quite simple as the background paper is busy enough

blue & yellow for the Swedish flag
adding the paper flowers really finished it off but made it hard to get a good scan, had to squash the flowers down then relift them a bit after scanning

I changed the flower to Edwin's dog using textured card for a rougher look to his doggie coat
